IS THERE A BEGINNER'S CLASS?
All of our classes are multi-level classes, which means anyone can take them. Our instructors are trained to show modifications for wherever you are in that moment. Our studio focuses primarily on strengthening the relationship between movement and feeling. Workouts are not a one-size fits all mentality which is why we show multiple ways of movement depending on how you feel. While our classes certainly are challenging, we encourage everyone to work at their own pace, regardless of their fitness level or background.
I'M NOT GOOD AT YOGA, I'M NOT FLEXIBLE...
Practice, Not Perfect. In our method we truly believe that wherever you are, is exactly where you need to be. The progression of your practice comes with time, dedication, commitment and acceptance. There's no final destination, that's why they call it a "practice". And if you're not flexible, well then don't you need yoga?
I'M NOT COORDINATED, CAN I REALLY ATTEND?
BIG YES! MBB is a place where everyone is welcome—no matter your dance or fitness level. Our instructors are movement cheerleaders who will be cheering you on every step of the way!
CAN I TAKE CLASS WHILE EXPECTING?
Yes, our classes can be modified to be taken safely throughout your pregnancy. At your discretion, please inform the instructor prior to class to let them know you are expecting.
BUT WILL I ACTUALLY SWEAT?
First thing's first, this ain't your grandma's workout. Our classes are designed to get your heart rate up while making you FEEL amazing. You'll notice our classes focus on a feeling rather than emphasizing diet culture "sweat tactics" and false body image advertising. We sweat, we have cellulite, we come in many different shapes, sizes and skin tones. No matter your age or fitness level, you can anticipate a high energy, FUN and powerful workout with all the benefits to your mind, body & spirit.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
During current events, we are temporarily pausing the use of shared exercise equipment. We suggest a light set of hand weights (2-4 lbs), resistance bands, pilates or playground ball. Please note that equipment is not required to take class. Dress in comfortable workout clothing that you can easily move around in.
