A few months ago I purchased a pair of jeans from Express; my favorite pair had accidentally been put into the pile to be thrown out/donated in the midst of a major cleaning overhaul last September (The saddest day was when I went to wear them and realized they were nowhere to be found)
These “new” jeans were the kind you put on then immediately take off because something is just “not right”. I always seem to have a major issue when looking for pants. Because I have bigger thighs and calves (If we were ever stranded with no food, my calves could probably feed a whole third world country….) the smaller size always seems to make me look like someone stuffed me into a sausage casing but the waist fits perfect. If I go up a size, the legs fit but anyone sitting behind me gets a free show of my hanky panky undies since the waist is too big.
Frustrated by my hasty purchase of the larger sized jean (in effort to fit my muscular thighs) I took them off, refolded them and placed them back in the drawer.
The next morning I went to teach barre class at Mind Body Barre. My daily routine there consists of booting up the computer, checking emails, blogging and social networking for the studio. One of my favorite blogs, is the barre n9ne studio blog. For those of you who have friends that live on the Northshore, barre n9ne is barre studio founded by my good friend Tanya. Tanya recently wrote this blog post about how if you’re not satisfied with something, RETURN IT- Including your BODY. She says bring your body to barre n9ne and return for the one you want! Brilliant! Not only did this inspire me to return my pants for a size that FIT, but it has also inspired me to share this with all of you! You can change the circumstance you are in! If you are not happy, DO something about it!
I encourage you all to read/follow her blog!
GO TANYA! :)
Take a Class!
