I can’t tell you how many times I have encountered clients who visit the studio thinking they are there to “workout”, to “get fit” “toned” “lose weight” or even “sweat”. Something happens in that room that we cannot really describe, or even put into words.
Maybe it’s Kayla’s magic wand (if you have not encountered her “magic wand” and you are looking for a good laugh please ask her about it next time) Chelsea’s bad-ass charisma, Michelle’s sweet voice, or Tina’s invincible strength…in fact each on of our instructors does have something truly magical they bring into each class.
We’d love to tell you that we have some enchanted potion, some product that will make everything better, some mystical spell that works every time, but the truth is, we don’t.
What we understand is energy. We understand that each one of you is a person—fully searching for the one thing that we all are, your most meaningful life; how you can exceed your expectations of fulfilling your most meaningful sense of purpose, which is why you will never hear us preach “get shredded, lose weight, drop pounds, get ready for your bikini etc.”
Why do we feel this way?
I love to share my experience with others because I want you to know that we know how you feel. While we had an amazing time, when Kayla and I cheered in the NFL, we experienced much of what “society” tells us we should look like. Everything became about the “end result” vs. the “experience” of how it felt in the moment. Each of us can feel extremely insecure in our bodies at times, but when you begin to ask yourself, Why am I doing this? Your answers may surprise you. The more connected you are to your mind, body and spirit, the more you understand what your intentions are.
Take a moment to reflect on why you are doing what you do right now? Take this for example; say your goal is to walk once a day because you want to start a new health regimen. How can you shift your awareness fully into the act of walking? Feel your feet grounding, notice the crisp of the air, the warmth of the sun on your skin, free your mind of any thoughts and be fully present in the moment.
For us, exercising is about releasing dormant energy, taking a moment to re-connect with the physical body while releasing emotion. We want you to become more deeply rooted with the deepness of your higher self—the intuitive piece. We want you to work from the inside out, not the outside in…When you leave the studio, we want you to continue the journey of finding your most meaningful life in the present moment---oh and you may just “get fit” while doing it.
