If you are anything like me, you probably hate the idea of spending the money on a gym membership only to use it once every few months….(Insert Cricket Noises Here)
Or perhaps you couldn’t get yourself motivated enough to even do the On-Demand workouts in front of your TV screen (there really is some sort of quality about dancing around in your living room that leaves you feeling less than satisfied, and more than a goof-ball…)
And don’t get me wrong, I heart you (and your body) Tony Horton and you are totally 100% right about the effectiveness of P90x, but I admit I become a slacker x10 when you aren’t really watching me do the workout…
That was my fault anyway. I would spend time and money on fitness regimens, workout DVDs and equipment and I would half-heartedly do the work. I was really missing my body from my days of dancing, that long and lean look, toned, firm and fit- and then it dawned on me….We weren’t lifting crazy weights, or running for hours and miles…all we were doing was the same thing….over and over and over; repetitious movements and dancing- all with proper dieting of course. The Barre Method was strikingly similar to the workouts we were doing while training for dance. Combining the two for the average person wanting to slim down would be the next best thing since sliced bread, truly!
For some people, the environment the workout is done in is a huge factor. You don’t need to spend a lot of money on gym memberships, equipment or new workout fads in order to slim down and shape up! Mind.Body.Barre is a small group fitness class with an instructor to guide you through the entire time; it’s like having your own personal trainer with the team motivation behind it!
